MARGARET BEAUDOIN
My name is Margaret and I am an athlete with hemiplegic cerebral palsy. I live in Berkley, Michigan and have loved sports since I was little. I just graduated from high school and I was on the Varsity Track and Varsity Swim team at Berkley High School. I got involved with para sports when I was in fourth grade and attened my first para track meet and made Junior Nationals the same year. I joined Team GLASA in 2015 because I had met the athletes and coaches and became friends with everyone. I felt very welcome on the team even though I lived in Michigan. Cindy and the coaches have been very supportive and helpful in my development as a para athlete. I also love para sports because I have made friends all over the country and love being on a team of amazing positive people.
I have been at Junior Nationals for 10 years and was a US Paraplympic Track & Field All-American for all four years of high school. I won two bronze medals at the CPISRA CP World Games in 2018 and three silver medals at the USP Nationals in 2017. Currently I am excited to be on the US Team going to the IWAS World Games in Thailand during December 2020.
Please support GLASA and help other athletes like me to experience the programs, wonderful coaches and friendships that come from participating. Thank you!
